So you're quite familiar with the area which I still call home.

I moved to Santa Cruz (inland from there into the mountains a couple of miles) in 1999 from the Santa Clara/San Jose border near Valley Fair. I hardly recognize that area now - it was "destroyed" by the builders and concrete pourers.

Every time I go over there (which as you know takes me through Los Gatos) to visit family that is still there, when I start home and look up into the mountains I am going to be crossing on Hwy 17, I thank God that I am headed home in that direction - even though it's one of the most dangerous roads in the world. :)

At the time that you lived in Campbell (92/93/94) I was out on the Los Gatos Creek trail every other day in the early morning. It runs from Campbell along the creek for several miles to Los Gatos and beyond.

I would race-walk from Campbell out almost 5 miles to Vasona Lake and back. It was perfectly safe for me alone in those days (although I carried pepper spray), but sure would not recommend it for women alone now.

Of all the states I might move to, Florida would be high on my "no-way" list. But I understand that people who live there really love it. I prefer cool and green. :)

Sorry. I am not familiar with Zeldas.....
