Printers are problematic with OS updates, but glad everything is working again. :)

It happens when you have to deal with so many drivers for various hardware and ages of hardware. It is easy to blame Microsoft but it is a difficult job. That has always been a major advantage for Apple because they control both software and hardware

Like I said earlier determine when the problem occurred and then look in your updates to see if one occurred around the same time. Then search to see if others with similar hardware / drivers have the same problem

These problems can also occur when users test various free downloads and it makes changes to your system that is mentioned in the extensive fine print you agree do when installing. The is one of the reasons I recommended BUYING Revo UNinstaller Pro it seems to do a better uninstalling software than other programs I have used or seen.

Best

Don

How do you rip out the monitor driver on WIN 10?

Similar thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I've lost the HD resolution on my monitor; and SLEEP option for the SHUTDOWN command.

I've unsuccessfully tried to replace the monitor driver, find a new one, and unsuccessfully attempted to uninstall the monitor to force Windows to reinstall the driver. So far I've been unsuccessful.

My max resolution available is 1280 x 1024; I've selected 1280 x 960 as it's the least distorted.
