>>>Up early this morning for no particular reason.

Off Topic.

Homework never ends does it? The turmoil in Asia is going to cause the players in the market to focus on who benefits from the turmoil, and who doesn't. I like techs....clearly SEG & WDC are in for tough times(players have that figured out).....and most anybody who puts things in the boxes we call computers. I'm watching the parts manufactures(graphics/sound) with great interest. I see good buys across the parts group after the dust has settles further out.

The internet on the other hand....now I just can't play a senerio in my mind out into the future....where it gets wacked from any of this. The only thing I see is the turmoil has burst the bubble on expectations and caused the group swing wildly. I follow & trade Excite for example...it was off 50%...then up 100% in 90 days or less....plenty of opportunity to make a few bucks if you are trading. Checkfree is in the same motion albeit....not so wild....what 22ish to 30...back to 24? My guess is it will be back to $30....sometime soon, trending higher over time. Just not as smooth as before.....Big Yo-Yo vs. small ones.

Now in my mind they will do very well over time, but they are going to chop......like the waves kicked up by the wind...the wind being driven by Asia Events........but I don't see the water going away.

Now I don't know if this is correct......but that's how I see it. Therefore I'm going to play a few 'good solid' growth companies (Checkfree/Intuit/Excite/E Trade) in my case.....I'm going to increase positions in the midst of this turmoil, maintaining a core position in them all at all times, but selling off part when the calm returns and they are back in the target ranges set by analysts, or whenever the next wind kicks up. This won't work with SEG, WDC, NSCP and many others......I'll pick them up down the road with trading profits when the price is right...or I am.
