Humbly report, Cisco, here is the answer to why SI went down last nite, posted with Brad's permission:

We've been taken down by a hacker. See:

Any idiot with a dedicated connection can take down an NT site. There
is no fix from Microsoft yet. We're trying to reverse engineer where
the hacker is located. Hopefully we'll find him within 24 hours.
