The cynical person that I am when it comes to governments, says that the gold collected from the poor in S. Korea will never be used to pay any debts. It will end up in the hands of the rich and powerful to help maintain their lifestyles. People who give gold to government officials are increadibly stupid. Looking at the pictures I don't see a single powerful industry chief standing in line! Not even a single article of a rich person actually donating even a cent.
