When I was in Arkansas helping my brother--------I came home,to his home, smoke was in the air, the sky was full of smoke. What I discovered from the forest servie was that they were doing "controlled burning" to maybe to prevent unconrolled burning. This was the first time I had ever experienced this. The mountain was covered with smoke-----Talking to the Forest ranger, I ask, how can you be sure that sparks from your controlled burning don't get carried to areas that aren't being controlled. Yes, often I am the skeptic----as I tend to examine and think in possibilities. Hopefully they were covering all of these possibilites---------including such things as a campfire out of control and deliberate actions-----or deliberate scoundrels. mj
