Maybe "complicated" was the wrong term, but I think it is fairly well known that different processes yield different quality product. Those guerilla growers are typically producing schwag or dirt weed, where as these online grower guides all refer to the importance of this process taking time to allow biosynthesis to continue and for the plant to reach full potency: leafly.com I will watch and wait to see what happens with their royalty next year, but maintain my belief that this process can not be rushed without degrading the quality of the end product.
