PeopleSoft because of their core business as well as their ability

I knew I had a bad short term memory. I caught the repeat again this AM-Abby Joseph Cohen did mention for a pick, PSFT for core business and being also a good pick for the y2k solution. Not that it really makes a huge difference, I know she did not say "so-called" when she spoke about the y2k solution at this point.

Humble report, All, thanks for the detailed answers to my "Wall Street Week" questions. Just like a y2k follower remarked in his private e-mail yesterday, I also believe that this is a "set-up" for further y2k discussions to follow on future programs. The test baloon has been launched.

Scott, regarding "Your interest in exactly what this woman said about Y2K made me recall your post some time ago about a taping you were involved in . . . Looks like your mystery woman is beginning to see the light, eh?"

Here is the link to the post I made:

Sorry to disapoint you, but the mystery woman is NOT Abby Joseph Cohen either!

Anyway, I spent the morning with Roleigh Martin.
(Please see: Message 3137784 )

The man is an incredible wealth of embedded systems information. Has been studying the problem for years, and is very active in trying to get the problems solved. I am going to try to hook him up with as many people that can help him in this effort as I possibly can.

I know a little about this problem, have been concerned for quite a while, but never have I been as scared as after this meeting. I have now seen information that makes it absolutely clear that unless this problem is solved, as Cheryl says, our survival is at stake. Not just comfort, and hardship - but survival.

Once again, I want to urge ALL to get in touch with government officials and utility companies at the very least, and pressure them in any way you know how, to get on the ball! If their answer is "yes, we're on top of it," please ask them about embedded systems IN PARTICULAR! The vast majority of government officials still haven't a clue about embedded systems even if they are aware of, and dealing with, the IT side of the y2k problem. Same with utilities.

It has been said that time is short. Yes it is, and it is shorter than most think. The problems will start to crop up this year, next year at the very latest!

Thank you for taking the time to read my tirade,

Svejk
