David - Jay says <> I'm glad he called the game "Trailblazer" because I was going to mention that IMO the name on the press release, "Trail Burner" should be dropped in favor of "Trailblazer" for a variety of reasons. This probably sounds off the wall to most but there does exist a controversy in this country about "off road vehicles" and even bikes "tearing up" the countryside "burning" trails in meadows, farmland, wilderness areas etc. Some have even caused fires from there hot exhaust pipes in addition to degrading the landscape. Hence my hesitation over "Trail Burner". On the otherhand "Trailblazer", well heck #1 - it sounds cooler even though it's hotter and #2 - it's more adventursome. Americans always want to blaze a trail to somewhere. It makes you want to explore. It's a matter of the connotation of the word for the consumer. Also, from a graphics standpoint you can do more jazzy things with BLAZER than with BURNER due to the "Z" in terms of advertising (e.g. the Iomega JAZ drive). Just my 2 cents.

Larry and Anthony, NASCAR is a pistol grip with a trigger for the throttle and thumb button for braking. It's red and yellow, very eye catching. The game play is basically like any other road racing game, you steer around a course avoiding cars and obstacles. When you crash or go off the track it vibrates. It's a good game, but frankly I'm more excited about Trailburner (now that I've got the name right). This game is very innovative. Picture a set of handle bars with a screen in the center, a brake lever on one grip and the other grip twists to shift gears. If you want to turn you tilt the bar, like a real bike leans in turns. When approaching an obstacle you either steer around it or by quickly jerking up on the bar you can jump, sorta like settin the hook in Bass. The inline skate game is along these lines but has a wheel you spin to move along the course. This VMS stuff works quite well. The gentleman at the booth said that NASCAR wasn't ready for spring set so looks like fall before it hits stores. Don't know about other games, maybe David can help us out with that. Anyhow, the blackjack tables are calling so I hope this helps you out. Things are looking great for 98.
