Great link and great article. How on earth can this concession of AIPN'S not have significant amounts of oil?

<<
Amoco Corp. is leading an international consortium planning to spend $8 billion to develop some huge oil fields in Azerbaijan's sector of the Caspian Sea believed to hold at least 4 billion barrels of crude.

Amoco and its partners in the Azerbaijan International Operating Co.
plan to decide later this year where to build a large export pipeline to move crude out of the region.

Until now, the consortium's plan has been to steer clear of Iran. At least so far, nothing has changed to prompt Amoco to alter that business plan, company spokesman Gary Stewart said. "We just have to take a wait-and-see attitude." >>
