<Dan also makes a good point in saying that set-top boxes should penetrate the market much sooner than a churn of new "TV-WinCe" purchases.> Dan never has a good point:-) One way to quickly, and inexpensively add to the market penetration of Windows is to add it to every new TV beign sold. I feel Gates and Co. woudl get a lot less resistance from the electronics manufacturers then he would get from the cable guys. Imagine if he offered them all a piece of the transaction revenue to boost thier rather slim margins. This program could be implemented in a couple of months instead of a couple of years.
