We would have been gone already if my husband had had his way. He's just sick to death of the idiocy in this country. Obviously, we've loved living in California. It's been a wonderful place to live- it's beautiful, and comfortable, and it's made us quite wealthy. And we're grateful for that- but not grateful enough to stay in a place that is in a country that's courting disaster on so many fronts. We can't live in a country so stupid that it has a government unwilling to care for the environment- we all live in, whose water we drink, whose air we breathe. That's not just stupid, it's dangerous. And then there's the ridiculous worship of wealth- and the fear of caring for people who aren't wealthy- because they're "takers". I've got news for the creatures on the right- the biggest "takers" are trust fund babies who stumble from party to party and never work a day in their lives- who live off the labor of the serfs who run their baths and manicure their lawns and groom their pubic hair and bleach their anuses. Seriously- the biggest takers are the 1%- the hardest workers are the working poor- and a good country tries to support the workers, since the workers form the bedrock of any country. But this is not a good country. This is the United States of Greed and Corruption. You'll have to come visit us once we get established. But as in all things we do our research, proceed slowly, and never act out of emotional incontinence- like the Scrotus. That way lies madness and ruin.
