My husband and I hated Reagan. He was clearly a demented drooling imbecile by the end of his term- and he, too, added a lot of despoilers of the environment to his payroll- as well as looters. But we were young, then, and we figured the country could get better. The optimism of youth, I guess. Then there was the shrub- an incompetent boob, who bumbled his way through the Middle East setting fire to it, while lady republicans swooned over the bulge in his flight suit. And now, Trump- the apotheosis of republican credulity and cupidity and stupidity. It's ugly- but it suits. The republicans have been on a path of negative evolution for some time. Ecce mundus excrementi!
