Re:I am reading alot of frustration from you guys. I hope none of
you are actually holding these high-tech stocks (LRCX,AMAT ect)
for the long term.

Yes, call me crazy, but I like the idea of buying a stock at "no-brainer" levels and selling when it hits historical highs. Holding these stocks for 4-5 year periods does not make them "shoebox" stocks- ones that you'll put in a shoebox and forget about for 50 years. But trading simply does not and will not work for most people. I'll hold up my performance against virtually any trader during these past five years, and even with the recent downturn, I could probably match their performance. In no way am I bragging; I missed out on this downturn and was stuck holding the bag. But trading these stocks could leave you with no bag at all to hold once these stocks takes off, as they will later this year IMO. Trading these stocks looks good now, but once we continue the upward ascent, we'll see many people selling out for a 5-10 point gain when they could have had a 80-100 point gain. The knife cuts both ways... don't make it sound as if trading is the panacea for loss of capital. It looks attractive now, but only because we are so bloodied by this sector. Holding cash looks attractive too....
