sheila rothstein. Re: Wall Street week. Check out posts 13069 and post 13083. I can add that Abby Cohen was conservatively bullish, stating that the downdraft on equity prices due to Asia has created many interesting opportunities. She mentioned INTC and MSFT along with Peoplesoft and Micron technology. IMHO Ms. Cohen is a better economist than a stock picker but there they are.

Her outlook on interest rates was a further drop of 25 to 50 basis points, dropping the long bond below 5.50. She dismissed deflation in the 30's sense as not a serious problem but felt we would continue to see low inflation. I do not recall any prediction about the Fed.

That's all I remember. Maybe others can add some more insights.
