Hi NighWriter:

The Unique Systems LMDS equipment dooes not appear so
unique, as it concerns only the downstream link. The
onlu feature that caught my interest was the use of
microcells/repeaters to provide service coverage for
hard to reach areas.

Based on what I have been able to read thus far, I
expect that the dominant LMDS equipment suppliers will
be HP/stanford Telecom and Bosch Telecom (a former unit
of TI). Note for example that the Formus/Jato deployment
announcement posted by Hiram mentions that they are using
a two-way LMDS system developed by HP/Stanford Telecom,
which integrates voice and Internet/Web services.

Best regards,

Bernard
