>> do you advise getting out of the US market now (plus or minus a year) and remaining out of the market for a period of 15 years?

No. There are always companies that run counter to the dominant cycle.
It just means that throwing darts at a stock page (and similar strategies) won't work like they did for the past 15 years. It means that investments in hype companies and scam companies will be volatile and will likely fail. It means that the price of even great companies will have down periods which will be great opportunities. The kind of mindless dipster purchases of junk like we have witnessed over the past 6 months will lead to financial ruin. My favorite example is AOL which has admitted on several occasions that their financial statements are misleading and has promised to reform publicly only to have the SEC has throw their reports back at them a few weeks later. Yes, it's possible for MM's to keep the price up and rising in a bull market, but as we enter a bear market investments like this one will suffer severe declines. Rogers 98 short's list is a good thread to follow for ideas and timing if you are inclined to short.

>> If so, we have a big decision about where to put long-term investments.

Yes, I have to run just this morning but some discussion and ideas would be of benefit to all.
