Penni, you have a 20 year horizon. I have a 6 year horizon. I plan to retire at 62. You should'nt be too concerned.... I should be very concerned...... but I'm not.
Currently 85% of our savings are invested in stock mutual funds.
I am much more concerned about interest rates than the Asian crisis.

Sure the market is down, but it's still way ahead of where it was on 1/10/97. Even if it goes down another 20%... so what? As long as interest rates stay low it will bounce back. People today are simply not satisfied with a 5% return on their money. As long as people keep thinking about how much MSFT is going to be worth in 20 years they will keep buying it. IMO
