Hi Mark

Indeed, what a long strange trip it was(and may I say, nice to have had your company during my part of the travel).
.....but now looking forward -have you noticed the behavior of Winstar (WCII) lately? In the face of Fridays' market onslaught the stock managed to rise about 2 1/2 points on high volume! It seems as though the difficulty in establishing a valuation for the company has been resloved via ATTs' acquisition of Teleport last Thursday. Comparing apples to apples it would give the company a valuation somewhere between 55 and 100 per share, hence the initiation of coverage by Smith Barney with 12-18 month projections of $71. It was one of the few stocks that actually went up on Friday. While I was quick in the past to criticize WCIIs' large debt postion, it appears as though they have turned the corner and have reached the point of critical mass. Thanks to the Teleport buyout and Fridays market activity, they are receiving quite a bit of press and analyst coverage. And....if you've got the inclination -check out their thread. Our old "pal" SteveG posts regularly and while (IMO) he has the tendency to come off as pompous, he does do his homework.

Best of wishes
Schmedley

<<<what a long strange trip it's been.>>>

Well put. I'm debating whether to do the same and just sell on the open market. If I see a turn-around in technology over the next few days, I suspect I will.

On a different note, my flight out of Portland tonight was the last one out due to the snow storm. I feel as though I've been caught in a time warp. And definitely glad to be back in San Diego. I think I'll go away more often if only to appreciate home.
