China is desperate to get neighboring resources from countries they can control. Tier 2 and Tier 3. Thus the OBOR hemorrhaging the hard earned forex. Fact is: their neighbors are suspicious of the Chinese. The Chinese can build bridges to where they have diaspora Chinese, like South East Asia. The Caucasus is a different story, Do you know that Iranians dislike people with Asian eyes? Still remembering the Genghis Khan guy. You see, China can buyout some puppets along the way but this OBOR thing will never ever will replace the trade with LATAM. It is this kind of world perspective that our Chinese honchos miss.
