The dossier said 19% of Rosneft, a huge Russian government owned company, would be offered as an inducement for getting sanctions lifted.

After the election, Trump planned to dump sanctions and 19.5% of Rosneft was sold to an anonymous buyer or buyers in the Cayman Islands.

There was no business reason for this sale.

Now the deal fell through. Congress prevented the President from lifting sanctions. The vote to take away his power over sanctions was 98-2 and 319-3. The 19.5% was finally sold to a Chinese company.

When a prediction is made that a specific percentage of a government owned company will be transferred and then that actually happens, that's a big confirmation the dossier was on to something real.
