Let's go one by one as the holistic view is overflowing your buffer.

You need to make the right connections. Not make a spaghetti plate of the whole issues.

Let's just stay with the resource curse.
Population is the China ultimate resource. That resource is ageing. You see it now? Soon that resource will become a burden as people age and need to be taken care by the youngsters, but there will too many elderly for too few youngsters.

And there goes China's advantage.

Next we move to food security. That population resources producing goods are not longer working on the farms.

As result of producing goods, they are more affluent and want to eat better food, Which is the most normal thing in the planet.

That means the food must come somewhere where it is produced at a comparatively advantage.

Now that you can handle an issue, let's add a second and see f you can process two issues. Food security and ageing population.

Let's try it? good.
  • Now as population get older, there will be fewer people in the agribusiness.8 years ago my friend Sheila (He Yujia) asked me:
  • He Yujia: How you have so much energy?
  • Elmat: I don't know what you mean?
  • He Yujia: You drive up and down country, (we were in Angola) you join the guys on weekends to attend emergencies and Monday you are ready again! Chinese men younger than you are no longer working. They are too tired and lack energy.
  • Elmat: I don't know Sheila, I guess is genetic, as I know Brazilians that after 45 they slow down. But in general western people are ageing slower and slower. Stop smoking. Listening to their bodies and doing check ups. Cutting down on the alcohol, exercising...

These young elderly have historically had the younger generatioo]ns to pick the slack up. There will not be younger people to pick the work left by the retirees.

As you can see I lived and work -am in the 15th country- and that perspective money rock Hong Kong cannot give you. You think I read and learned from a magazine seating on chair. no.

My heavy reading was done: 1975 - 1979. Then 1987-1991. Long time ago.

Now I write and teach the youth.
