Hello Bob:

Is Amcan a good play? Tough call....
It is VERY speculative. For one, the location of AMF's properties are in third world countries in Africa. Specifically, Sierra Leone: A historical "hot-bed" for diamonds. They've made a number of acquisitions lately that has diversified their "risk" levels. But risk is in the eyes of the beholder. Political upheavals are very common where their properties are, so at any particular time, local "militants" could take-over vast tracts of land. However, despite numerous upheavals, AMF always seems to come out of it stronger - ie more good properties. AMF directors must have good contacts and relations with country "leaders." They have many properties now: some in low-scale production.

The rewards can be high with AMF, but you could lose big-time too. Risk only what you can lose in this one. I suggest you do some research yourself....

Regards,
Wats
