300,000 South Koreans live in Los Angeles, so perhaps like Ireland they're simply relocating. The Korean woman who cuts my hair is married to an American whose last name is Klein. When I told her Trumpo marries immigrants because he can't find Americans who want the job, she couldn't stop laughing and could barely cut my hair, saying it was the funniest thing she had ever heard. I suspect the observation had resonance for her personally. More than a year later she still periodically brings up the comment and starts laughing again.
