It is now established that population is nose diving. Numbers keeping because the ones alive are living longer.

Talking about living longer:
Chinese living longer means a US of old people: 300 million oldies there. To support them, Chinese government have to use the money they splash in adventures abroad in the care of their elderly.

That means also not much money for aircraft carriers and jet fighters. But on caring for the millions of old people.
