Feraldo: if this thread is desigated for "doom 'n gloomers" only , then I will not post. It happens I dissagree with you entirely. While some large caps may report lower than expected earnings, "most" will post better than expected, and thus, I see a market moving above the 9000 mark before summer. Bearishness abounds, downgrades daily on presumptions only. What you've been seeing, is selling from those who waited until '98 to take profits; selling exaggerated as the panic set in Friday. Pre announcements of late is nothing out of the norm, as we see these every quarter. While you may be on the right side of some companies, I believe you will be on the wrong side of the general market. I always appreciate your comments, and I wish you much success with your new thread, and of course, your investments. Sparky
