Well-you have such a lot to learn...but first-chicken feather soup is perfectly acceptable as long as you apologise to the chicken for taking his feathers. This is critical. Apologise for everything you do or say, preferably in advance, but always after. A good apology can't be argued with. And accept the chicken for the beautiful person he is with or without his feathers. Accept everyone. The advanced P4 feels great affection for the chicken, but for a beginner, merely the appearance of acceptance will suffice.
As for your rainbow family...the fully evolved P4 wouldn't even realize it was a rainbow. Knowing that you're only a novice, though, we'll forgive your crass calling attention to the fact and move on. Next, the P4 never acknowledges anything unpleasant, and, when smelling something nasty, merely smiles and sniffs her little perfumed hanky (any man wearing such an attractive dress surely carries a hanky), assuming it was an accidental gas emission, and not wanting to draw attention to the offending party. P4s believe that no one is ever intentionally mean, but is only reacting to tight pants or a case of indigestion.
I hope this helps. I feel sure that you can do this! Because as a P4, I believe everybody is wonderful.
