If they get a majority in the House, they could plausibly impeach him. That only takes a majority.

But there is no way that they would get the two thirds in the Senate to actually convict him to remove him from office. Not unless his popularity among base Republicans seriously drops, which would make it possible for R Senators to vote against him. As long as he has a strong majority of the base still behind him, though, forget about it.

Besides, would we really be better off with Pence rather than Trump? Or Ryan, next in line? I doubt it.

I think we will have 218 democratic house members in 2018. That is all that is needed to send it over to the senate for an impeachment trial

I think it would be smart to do that, to have a trial in the senate and force Republicans to defend Trump.

Just my opinion..
