I think that the folks at STRATFOR may have goofed with their choice of wording. If I'm interpreting this right I believe that their thinking would have been more clearly conveyed if they would have substituted 'overcome' for 'to recover from'. In other words, I think that they mean to say that it will take a generation to overcome things like bribery, corruption, cronyism, etc. and NOT the consequences of the same(although such practices are certain to keep them from succeeding in the long run). My 2 cents....

BTW -- I just noticed this part of the STRATFOR site. They give an interesting spin on stories we would probably never get in the states.
