Alex, apart from the manipulation of gold, the govt inquiry may itself be manipulation of silver. As with any inquiry of this kind, the first to come under suspicion and investigation are those really long silver.

The fall in gold prices the last cople of days were in part because of the free fall of silver, which in turn was caused by this govt investigation.

P.S. Alex, all your posts are appreciated. It never occurs to me whether you agree or disagree with links you provide. I just enjoy commenting. Keep em coming.

Alex, You wrote:
<It is a joke. It has long been the feeling of most of us who post
here that gold is being manipulated. Obvious signs???? Gold now tanks at the first sign of a crisis anywhere in the world where traditionally it has rallied.>

A conformation of this the parallel down turn of the markets and gold as you say and the following writen by Franklin Sanders on the EWR page. Somebody has got to fooling with this. Would be interesting to know who is wearing those 18EEE.

"The TED Spread also furnishes a valuable indicator for precious
metals investors. When crisis talk is brewing but the TED remains
quiet, gold investors should have second thoughts before acting. On
the other hand, when the TED starts moving above say, 75, it could
mean that smart money in Europe and the Far East already smells
something bad coming down the pike, and they're runnng away early,
before the general public catches on."

As of Fri. the spread was 85.

Cheers,

PS: Please excuse,I think I'm repeating myself here, but it ia a worthy note.
