Yes he was saying democracy is the problem. Either he was a fool or a tool of the plutocrats.

I agree. It was a terrible shift. The government is the people, the people working together- and to see it as "the problem" is to see the people working together as a problem- which is pretty much the republican playbook- divide the people, make them hate working together, and give all the money to corporations.
