Unfortunately, you don't compromise, cut deals, or appease Authoritarians. You have to defeat them and remove them from any power. They are a cancer that is growing and like all cancer it will kill the host unless you cut it out. The current movie with Churchill demonstrates this in action. The whole movie is about a 30 day period when everyone wanted to compromise and deal with the Nazi's. Churchill, alone, was the only opposition in the British establishment to the Nazi's The Darkest Hour
