That's common-sense Australia. You may recall that Ian Macfralane at the Australian Reserve Bank and state governments including New South Wales increasing the real estate tax on speculators and killed Australia's post-9/11 real estate bubble before it really got going. In contrast the US went on to the largest real estate bubble of all time which wiped out many US banks.

Like all Australian banks Commonwealth Bank’s updated the terms and conditions for accounts in June 2017 to specifically exclude transfers to and from Bitcoin banks outside of Australia.

"We can refuse to process any international money transfer or an international cash management transaction because the destination account previously has been connected to a fraud or an attempted fraudulent transaction or is an account used to facilitate payments to Bitcoins or similar virtual currency payment services”.

When asked about this change in terms a Commonwealth Bank spokesman said it was receptive to innovation in alternative currencies and payment systems “however, we do not currently use or recommend any existing virtual currencies as we do not believe they have yet met a minimum standard of regulation, reliability, and reputation compared to other currencies that we offer to our customers”.

People should not be surprised that governments conduct war against competing monetary methods. My assumption a dozen years ago was that assassination would also be done.

A good guide was what the Roman empire did to Jesus Christ and anyone else who disrupted proceedings.

Today the Deep State is out to get Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Kim Dotcom and anyone else who maybe or maybe not offends their sense of propriety or proprietary rights. Including even the elected USA president who is targeted by a vast left wing swamp dwelling gang of moochers and RINOs still angry about Big Don's mean comments about them.

Bitcoin will not be allowed to usurp national fiat finances. It will be attacked as yet another enemy of the state.

Hope you and the rest of the crowd had a blast. BTC technology is useful. Will be implemented in other business interactions. BTC will collapse before April.

If any country does an Iceland with BTC it will be sold in eBay. I say that because Greece and Iceland also partied until the lights went off.
