her coughing spells are very likely due to drugs she is taking for congestive heart failure or high blood pressure..............most likely ACE inhibitors which are notorious of producing uncontrolled dry coughing........especially Lisinopril ....the most prescribed ACE inhibitor .....and reported to produce various degrees of uncontrolled dry coughing in up to 20% of users.
