Irby, Darth, Don or anyone... from your experience

How difficult is it to get an uptick in order to short a stock?

If you've got your entry set and the stock goes down 1/8, 1/4 etc. before you get an uptick, seems like your profits would dissapear before you are filled and then if you get a fill you might be stuck with a trade you immediately need to exit?

NEVER CHASE A TRADE.....

I suppose that if you notice this happening you could attempt to cancle the trade before the fill and if you are lucky and have fast enough execution you would be out.

I have never shorted a stock and just wondering how it works when daytrading.
