Republicans live in a fantasy world to begin with. And defending that cannot be done without lies e.g. evolution and global warming.

And that mind set which knows little, supports Trump and the Republicans because the leaders have found out they can control and use them by reinforcing their fantasy e.g. we love god and guns and hate gays and integration.

FOX figured this out and took it one step further by weaving an entire fantasy world that reinforces the low information person's fantasy world. They know they are low information and like the reinforcement that their ideas are correct.

When traveling every single hotel and motel I stayed in showed FOX. Once in a while they showed CNN, but never MSNBC the one solidly smart and truthful news outlet.

I think the way it works is businesses know FOX runs off a liberals back. They don't care about the nonsense and ignore it. But reality as shown on MSNBC threatens conservatives reality and they cannot stand to hear it.

People like their fantasy worlds and do not like people who say they are not real. It is like debating a religious person, they get very defensive because they cannot defend their beliefs.

But an atheist never gets defensive because they have all the facts on their side.

It is always easier to tell the truth than defend a lie.

One party knows how knowledge is passed on, not by the stories they tell but by the facts they can prove (and have proven). One party doesn't do facts anymore. They literally make things up. Lies about death panels and Kenya are headline news. They like stories and like little children, they think these stories are true.

Teaching a republican to think again after decades of being spoon fed mindless hate will be challenging. Teaching them to be adults again is impossible.
