Good vitamins help strengthen the immune system.

I've never had a flu shot and will not.

I've heard a concoction of horseradish , onion, and garlic is a good way to flush one's sinusses.

I always make chicken soup when someone gets the flu .

In it I chop up jalapeno peppers and shake home made cayenne pepper flakes that I dehydrate.

When it is really good it brings out a nice sweat to the fore head.

For sleeping well at night:

Claritin D 24 hours

Nyquil night

2 big shots of Aber Gut (which is 1/2 peppermint schnapps and 1/2 Apricot Brandy) Goes down smooth and warms the tummy as your fore head sweats and your sinuses get aromatically cleared.

Now that is a lot of work when you feel like a dog - but if you do it for someone that is sick - they'll remember the good deed and reciprocate.

I like it so much I do it for preventive medicine.

Last but not least - when the crud is going on like the plague - stay at home and do not go to bars or public schools.

I think I get the flu every year - but when my immune system is strong it does not get the best of me.

That's my home remedy and I'm sticking with it!!

I can't tell you how many marathons I missed after training for 6 months and then got an URI the week before the run. I just found the next marathon the next month.

Good health to all this new flu season.

Bob
