On January 1, 2018, deputies with Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 4400 block of Brandemere Way in reference to a suspected drunk driver stopped in the moving lane of traffic. Upon arrival, a Deputy located the vehicle with the driver passed out behind the wheel with the engine running and the vehicle in drive. Deputies attempted to get the driver out of the vehicle at which time the suspect, David Salinas Medrano who displayed several signs of intoxication, began to physically resist being removed from the vehicle. During his resistance, Medrano attempted to take a deputy’s tazer. After a brief struggle, deputies were able to detain Salinas. ............... -------------------------- Do you know how many drunk AH's do stupid and dangerous stuff? Sometimes life threatening stuff. If this guy had tried to take the constable's gun, this incident could've turned into a shooting. In which case, you'd say they murdered a man.
