Bear Stearns issued a 23 page research report on LGND on 1/6. Excellent analysis by David Molowa and Ethan Lovell. Extremely positive with detailed projections of income statements through the year 2003. Projects fair value today of $18, $25 at end of 1998 and $62 at end of 2002 using conservative analysis discounting the future. Projects $.09 earnings in 1999 and $1.76 in 2003 and continued impressive growth forward. The breadth of Ligands R @ D activities is a real plus when compared to many other smaller biotechs. This report certainly affirms Henry's views.
