Translation: When malware steals your stuff, your Intel chip is working as designed.

They are being careful to say their chips are working as designed to try to avoid liability. They are calling changes to fix the problem "enhancements".

During the conference call, BK was asked point blank by Vivik Aria (sp?) of BofA, if the problem was with Intel chips only or with AMD, as well. He completely avoided the question, saying that it was an industry issue and you would have to ask AMD. There was equal avoidance of giving direct answers, to less pointed questions, during the CNBC interview.

Intel's problem is that the chips ARE working as designed. So are AMD's. It's just that AMD's are designed better.
