Here's an annoyance I've been putting up with for a couple weeks, hoping it would go away on its own. I downloaded a "newer" version of Malwarebytes as usual and apparently agreed to take a trial of their souped up version. Now that the trial is over, I can't avoid this pop up at every new boot:

When I got my new computer Windows 7 last year Windows update would not work. But I found a patch that worked, had to follow the instructions to the letter:

answers.microsoft.com

If you have problems try the forums on Microsoft, lots of good experience there.

Got a chance to look at sister's Win7 computer, runs auto updates just fine.....

Beats me....
