greg, OEM's dumping Pentium II's?

Pentium II-233 CPU's are widely available here for $275 - $290. These prices are way below the so-called "January 7" price cut for quantity=10,000. Why does Intel continue to lie about their pricing, or are OEM's just trying to get rid of CPU's they can't sell in overpriced boxes?

Perhaps some Asian companies are converting huge inventories of P2's into much more of their own devalued currencies.
