al, for me that's the way it was!

That's got to be one helluva rush!

I'm guessing that if the bid keeps creeping up anytime selling slows down, it'll probably be a real good sign that someone has decided to cover as soon and cheaply as possibly. Perhaps a quick dip initially to see if any cheap shares are available, but then (again, IF this happens) quickly raising the bid to encourage selling.

Any TA folks have any idea what the cost basis breakdown looks like? For example, are there 3 million shares out there that would be a 2-bagger or better at $1.00 even? If there are a lot of cheap shares out there, I would think that'd tend to slow down price increases, as a lot of people are going to know/think that the price won't stay up once the shorts are covered.

Is it also possible that they'll do enough MM-to-MM trades (and even fill buys at the bid?) to give the appearance of enough shares coming in to make it look like they've covered, then tank it and do the actual covering at lower prices?

Whether I'm in it or not, if it happens, it's going to be fascinating and educational.
