Only a #stablegenius could: - Pick for Attorney General a guy who had been heavily involved in his campaign, who would then need to recuse himself from probes into his campaign. - Cause the Mueller investigation to start by firing the FBI Director investigating his campaign.

Since Trumpty has no sense of ethics, legal or other, he figured an AG from his campaign would PROTECT the campaign from investigation.
