Mindmeld, Liberals go wrong when they try to legislate every aspect of culture. They don't understand that this path leads to tyranny. Cultural issues are best solved through cultural institutions such as religion, not by laws. Exactly, but liberals have already eliminated religion as a viable cultural institution. That leaves human secularism as the belief system to use when dealing with cultural issues, but secularism has been woefully inadequate to drive values. "I can be good without God," claim the atheists, but one can also be bad without God as well. So how do you motivate people to be good and discourage them from being bad? The only answer they can come with is authoritarianism. That, combined with their belief that free will doesn't exist, is the reason why they try to legislate every aspect of culture. Tenchusatsu
