In response to your post "S3 could consider buying Rendition or NVidia. Both are privately held fabless companies, and have reasonable 2D/3D accelerating chipsets - Rendition's Verite 2x00 and NVidia's RIVA 128", it appears that S3 has already made a decision and for that decision, they raised cash from selling 1/3 of its interest in USC; they are not stupid to sell 1/3 of profitable business just to sit on it. We'll hear their move very very soon!! MBrad
