Neil,

Nice post. Thanks for the information. Did you or anyone see that Borland has 3 of the top 8 places in the survey for Application Development Tools: 1st for Delphi, 2nd for J-Builder, and 8th for C++? That's damned impressive, and beats out all other companies by a mile. This could be even better with the upcoming release of the next version of C++.

Denise,

Why doesn't Borland use this sort of information in its advertising hype? It's not the first time something like this may pass by without much notice. Seems to me many dollars of revenue can be generated by letting the markets know what peers feel about Borland products.

Sam

Neil,

I haven't followed the c++ builder newsgroups lately; I'm wondering what you've been seeing over there concerning version 3 -- features, release date, etc -- assuming, of course, you're still there on occasion.....

David

Has anyone seen this?

Nice to see Delphi at the top, and JBuilder up there too. I was kind of surprised not to see mention of Symantec's Cafe. I don't follow Java development too closely, but I was under the impression that Cafe 2.0 was functionally a close competitor to JBuilder.

Does anyone have any actual experience with Cafe 2.0 (I know 1.x was terrible) that they can base any comments on?
