am unsure what <<Groupthink>> has to do w/ everything i wrote; i described making a profit from groupthink of others, which on the face of it is an undebateable win. i am guessing wins are good, for the alternative to wins would be losses.

re winning, was just checking up on the trade i did around christmas time Message 31408462 , which i vaguely remembered you saw fit to comment on at the time also with a seeming edge which i did not mind, <<China Construction Bank? Uhm. Interesting,,,>>

btw, the trade is up quite a bit, thanks to whatever including luck, but a not-yet-recognized win that also i guess has something to do w/ groupthink in your language, but in mine, just a win; the details do not practically matter to me whenever tallying. only matters if losses. losses are bad.

the equity trades now tallies at 7%. should i be able to do that every 20 days, a good thing. am intending to let it run for a while - suspect mr armstrong may be correct, that the equity super-ramp is in motion. watch & brief.

Group-think is a time and energy saving process for people which serves people poorly when there's something important at stake.

Japanese bureaucracies formalized this with a process they call nemawashi or ringi, a group consensus where all relevant parties need to apply their hanko stamp to the project proposal before the project can proceed.

Individuals or department heads signal their disapproval by stamping their hanko upside-down.

While initially useful for disclosing objections, once everyone has stamped they're so bought into that consensus that they can't easily speak up about how conditions have now changed.

Excellent point ElM and I think the best point you have ever made.

That is a concept that few understand.

It's the most important thing there is. That might be a slight exaggeration because cognitive power as the fifth force of physics is more important.

But the battle between individual cognition and collectivist conquest is where we are. The extrasomatic artificial intelligence matter is still to come and will be a very big deal.

so, you believe non-chinese societies do not engage in non-sense / ala groupthink? okay.

i suppose if it turns out that jews and chinese get along, it would either be because both engage in group think, or because one doesn't and one does?

any way ...

w/r to the other point you made in a post i lost in the trail, something about there is no free lunch; am dubious.

mathematically speaking, not only are some lunches free, others are borrowed, and still others are pilfered, there are even lunches where they pay you for eating it.

but i suppose all lunches cost something to somebody, just occasionally not costing my body anything, immediately, until perhaps sometime into the future, making it effectively free, or heavily subsidised

speaking of free lunches, have scored some, created out of thin air via cloud-atm protocol

now out of all the bank shares i recently bought, and only 0388.hk remain

with what (the banks and the still-born position of 1919.hk) i have realised, sure looks like free lunches for a long time

the logic of holding on to 0388.hk is simple - hk shall continue to hit above weight class, and win or lose, the exchange shall be paid

Hello elmat, just as I began to fret over the imponderables of free lunch Message 31429753 - how there isn’t supposed to be any, the last 24-hours handed me another bundle, by way of ramping once again my favoured 0388.hk , that which I added yet another third yesterday.

I have decided to shelve the imponderable of free lunch and focus on grabbing some more, by way of engaging w/ groupthink, that which is also a no-no.

I had always championed the idea that context is important to every discussion, and few indications show context as clearly as putting ideas to active work.

Malaise can be wonderful, and groupthink can make a difference.
