Roebear:

Below $8, Homestake is a gift from the angels, below $7, a gift from the Big Guy himself. I think much of the same about Hecla at $6 and $5, respectively.

We are at an inflection point in gold's price, the 30yr. price of US bonds, and the value of the dollar on the world market. Soon, it must give way through intervention by the Federal Reserve to reduce the discount rate and devalue the US dollar; or a massive stimulus package by Japan on the order of $50-$60 billion US (an income tax-cut) to increase Japanese domestic consumption, re-start their economy and, ultimately, increase the dollar value of the yen; or leave the situation to the financial market to resolve through stock price depreciation. The last scenario is the most punishing as the panics of 1873, 1893, 1907 and 1929 demonstrate.

Gold stocks will not move up till the above becomes abundantly clear; however, we are not far from it now. Select from the best while they are on sale.

Yours, T.V.H.
