Sanova vs. Ozone Decontamination:

Alright people, I'll admit on the surface here it looks like Alcide has a very real solution for poultry decontamination. At less than a penny per pound this methology certainly seems cost effective and a reasonable alternative.

A reasonable alternative to what?

Chlorination, irradiation(cost 4-5 cents per pound) and other chemical methods of decontaminating poultry.

All these methods have severe enviromental drawbacks. Sanova does as well. Lets face it folks this is an acidified salt. How much of this stuff would you want on your chicken. How much do you want in the water that leaves these plants.

How about ozone?

A reasonable estimate of the cost is right around half a cent per pound. Why so cheap? All we are using folks is electicity, oxygen and water. Both methods will be set up and designed to be used with current automated processor systems. The end result though will be much different on an enviromental basis.

Ozone leaves clean recyclable water.

Will Sanova? No way....

Regards, Jeff
